Edulab Privacy Policy
Effective October 10, 2026
Edulab is a learning center's mobile app (iOS, Android) and web account: schedule, attendance, homework, lesson balance and payments, notifications. The data controller is Edulab (the “Center”, “we”).
1. Data we process
Accounts are created by the Center's administration — there is no self sign-up.
- Account: name, login, phone number, email (if provided), date of birth (if provided), interface language, role (student, teacher, administrator).
- Studies: courses and groups, schedule, attendance, homework, grades and teacher comments.
- Lessons and payments: paid lessons remaining, deduction history, payment amounts and methods. The app does not process or store bank cards.
- Applications: name, phone and source of applications from people who are not students yet.
- Telegram (optional): if you connect the Center's Telegram bot, we store your Telegram ID to send notifications.
- Personal settings: home screen layout and the text of your note.
- Technical data: sign-in sessions (device, time) and sign-in attempts — to protect against password guessing. The sign-in token is kept in the device's secure storage.
- Error reports: if something breaks in the app or the web dashboard, we automatically receive a technical report — the error text, app version, device model and OS version (or browser), the screen where it happened, and your account if you are signed in. Passwords, sign-in tokens and phone numbers are removed from the report, and the IP address is kept only down to the network (without its last part). Reports are used only to fix bugs and are kept for no more than 30 days.
The app does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos, shows no ads and does not track you across other apps.
2. Why
- To show students their schedule, groups, homework and remaining lessons.
- To let teachers take attendance and review work in their groups.
- To let the administration manage groups, courses, payments and applications.
- To send notifications in the app and, if connected, in Telegram.
Name and date of birth are visible to groupmates and the teacher in the “Birthdays” widget; groupmates see only names — not payments, grades or contacts.
3. Storage and security
Data is stored on the Center's server and transmitted only over a secure connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Access is limited by role: teachers see only their groups, students only their own data. Data changes are recorded in an audit log.
4. Third parties
We do not sell data or share it for advertising. Third-party services:
- Telegram — only if you connect the bot yourself: notification text is delivered via Telegram.
- Open-Meteo — weather for the widget; the server requests it by city coordinates, none of your data is sent.
- Expo (EAS Update) — delivery of app updates; no personal data is sent.
- Hosting provider — to run the server.
Data may also be disclosed when lawfully required by government authorities.
5. Children
Some students may be minors. Their accounts are created by the Center's administration with the consent of parents or guardians.
6. Retention and account deletion
Data is kept while you have an account. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the account deletion page. Requests are processed within 30 days.
On deletion, sign-in is closed on all devices, the login, phone, email and Telegram are removed from the account, and you leave all groups. Your name and study and financial history (attendance, grades, payments) remain in the Center's records for as long as accounting and academic record-keeping require.
7. Your rights
You can find out what data is stored about you, correct it (name, email and date of birth can be changed in your profile, the rest through the administration) and request deletion.
8. Contact
Please contact your learning center's administration.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date is shown at the top of this page.
